Ive been pretty absent on my blog. I just haven't had the time to get ready. I work in a uniform and by the time I get home from work the last thing I want to do is get all dolled up and take photos. Then on my days off Im busy driving back and forth to my moms to do laundry, going to the post office, to the bank, grocery shopping or just flat out boring stuff. So theres no point in looking cute to do all that. The only time I "get ready" is when I work my retail 2nd job because theres no dress code there. It's nice to be able to wear whatever you want to work. Im going to try and make an effort to take more photos. I love expressing myself through style. I love clothes and outfits so I really do want to share more outfit posts. Im going to colorado in 2 weeks so i will definitely try and make my friend take outfit photos for me. Sorry, thats the price you pay for being my friend!

How to have a successful beach day
Read a book about aliens
Avoid a pedicure by scraping off the dead skin on your feet with razor sharp seashells
Laugh because the most action you're getting is seaweed washing up and smacking you in the butt
Get a permanent wedgie from your swim bottoms because they insist on riding up
Soak up some sunshine while forgetting to reapply sunscreen
Go for a walk and take photos of flowers, because you don't have 300 photos of flowers on your phone already...
Take a photo in front of flowers because you haven't done that before...
Put on headphones so you don't have to hear the children to your right screaming in french
Reminisce on all the times you've peed in that water
Thats all it takes for a successful beach day!

Girl Power
Trying to find places to take photos is probably the hardest part of blogging. There are always people around. Which is fine, I just don't want them in the background of the photos. I found this abandoned house and decided that it was a good place. No one will come out and tell you to stop taking pictures on their property. Well... hopefully not. The only people who saw me were the mailman and a convertible car full of old people. All of them turned their heads and stared. Yes I am a weird girl taking photos of herself, move it along! I don't usually wear clothing that everyone else has. This shirt is that exception. I've seen this shirt everywhere and I loved so I bought it. Im someone who doesn't really pay attention to trends. I get inspiration from people on pinterest and blogs but I never want to go somewhere and end up in the same outfit as someone else. I feel like thrifting clothes give you that advantage of being different. If I match someone else while wearing this shirt I think ill be ok with it, Because its a good shirt.

How About No
I figured I would share what I was wearing in my most recent youtube video. The shirt is from ROMWE. An asian website that clearly knocks off wild fox, topshop, urban outfitters, etc. But whatever its suuuuper cheap you just have to wait AGES for it to ship out. It is coming from somewhere in Asia after all. This shirt though is possibly one of the best shirts I own. It was like $7 and I just paired it with high waisted black shorts I thrifted a while ago. You can go on down to the very bottom and watch my video where I try on my latest thrift finds and show a lot of skin. Scandalous! But whatever we all have bodies, get over it. We are all just a bag of bones.

The downside to turning 26
Turning 26 means I lose my heath care. So please don't stab me after September 20th because ill probably die. Before then is completely fine though. Kidding! Please don't stab me at any point in time. Loosing my health insurance means I won't be able to afford new glasses. Also dentist, birth control, doctors visits, god for bid I get pregnant ill be screwed... but lets not get into that. It will only make me depressed. Anyways, So I've been scouring this earth for the past 3 months looking for new glasses and I've come across 0 glasses I like. Ive been to all the lenscrafers, eye doctors, costco, target, walmart. Literally anywhere that sells glasses I've looked and nothing. They are all boring and too small. So the last place I've turned to is etsy. Ive been looking at old 1980s glasses. Because who didn't do BIG glasses better than the 80s? So these are the final contenders. They are all under $100. They are exactly what I had in mind. Big, funky glasses. I've had the same glasses for 7 years. I got them in red, then later i bought the same exact frames just in black. So I am ready for a change. What do you think? Some are funkier than others but I really can't decide. Thats another thing about me I'm the WORST at making decisions. Ive learned to be a "go with the flow" kinda person because I literally can't make a decision for myself. I just let other people make decisions for me hah thats bad right? Owell.
The original red/torotise shell frames
Then the same exact ones in black
Also how cute is penny? I wish my mom would give her to me but she won't.

I always feel like somebody's watching me
This building is abandoned. There is even a "for sale" sign out front. So to my surprise mid way through taking pictures someone walked out of the building and looked at me. Didn't say anything. Just creepily looked and walked away. YEP. He was in there the whole time. Watching some weird girl take an embarrassing amount of photos of herself. I didn't care though, I kept going. If anything he was the one that wasn't supposed to be there because clearly he was a squatter. Im not bothered by people watching me take photos of myself. I know ill never see that person again, so it doesn't phase me. I use to be weird about it, but ever since I started talking to a camera for youtube I've become a lot more comfortable in front of a camera. Even if there are random people watching.

Going to Disney...alone?
I go to disney alone. I do most things alone, actually. I am a very independent person. I enjoy my own company. Not in a conceded way. Just in a "I'm comfortable with myself, by myself" kind of way. Ive always been like that. Thinking back on my childhood I would always go off on my own. Not in a child runaway sense but in a "I'm gonna be over here, alone" sense. I would hide in the racks at stores but I would climb up the poles so when my mom bent down looking under the racks she wouldn't see feet. She could never find me. It was great as a child, terrifying however for my mother. There was one time I ran and jumped on the blue line at wdw so I would get my own booth. Well the car I was in detached from the car my mom and sister were in and i rode away alone, crying. hahah To be fair that was when I was 4? Since then I've become a pro at being alone. I feel like its a good skill to learn in your 20s. Before you're bound to someone legally for the rest of your life (marriage). You should never depend on someone else for your own happiness. You should be the one bringing that to the table. Then when someone else comes into your life, its a bonus. Like "Hey I'm already happy, but its really cool you're here to add to this mutual happiness". Notice how I said "mutual". In addition to creating your own happiness you shouldn't have to make someone else happy. If you are a happy person you'll know how draining it is to be with someone who isn't happy. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your own happiness to try and make someone else happy. If they are not happy with themselves, no one else will ever make them happy. GETTING OFF TOPIC. Yes Disney alone is really fun. You choose all the rides you want to go on, all the food you want to eat, stop and take ages to get a good photo. I walked back and forth between adventure land and tomorrow land because I couldn't decide on a ride. They are on the other side of the park! If i was with my mom she wouldn't have put up with that. No shade to the mom, I love going to disney with her. She just gets tired of walking. But when you're alone you can do annoying stuff like that. When you're alone you can do whatever you want. Its the best part about being an adult. Doing whatever you want, whenever you want. The freedom and independence of adulthood are a beautiful thing.

Blues
I hated the color blue for the longest time. I had to wear it every single day for like a year and a half when i worked at ross. I was just sick of it. It's been over 3 years since I left that job and I'm finally warming back up to blue clothing. Also yes, jeans were a bad decision. I was sweating bullets by the time I finished taking these photos. It was only 85 degrees but its just sooo humid right now your body can't help but to sweat. The joy of florida summers.
