How to have a successful beach day

 Read a book about aliens

Avoid a pedicure by scraping off the dead skin on your feet with razor sharp seashells

Laugh because the most action you're getting is seaweed washing up and smacking you in the butt

Get a permanent wedgie from your swim bottoms because they insist on riding up

Soak up some sunshine while forgetting to reapply sunscreen

Go for a walk and take photos of flowers, because you don't have 300 photos of flowers on your phone already...

Take a photo in front of flowers because you haven't done that before...

Put on headphones so you don't have to hear the children to your right screaming in french

Reminisce on all the times you've peed in that water

Thats all it takes for a successful beach day!

Girl Power

Trying to find places to take photos is probably the hardest part of blogging. There are always people around. Which is fine, I just don't want them in the background of the photos. I found this abandoned house and decided that it was a good place. No one will come out and tell you to stop taking pictures on their property. Well... hopefully not. The only people who saw me were the mailman and a convertible car full of old people. All of them turned their heads and stared. Yes I am a weird girl taking photos of herself, move it along! I don't usually wear clothing that everyone else has. This shirt is that exception. I've seen this shirt everywhere and I loved so I bought it. Im someone who doesn't really pay attention to trends. I get inspiration from people on pinterest and blogs but I never want to go somewhere and end up in the same outfit as someone else. I feel like thrifting clothes give you that advantage of being different. If I match someone else while wearing this shirt I think ill be ok with it, Because its a good shirt.

How About No

I figured I would share what I was wearing in my most recent youtube video. The shirt is from ROMWE. An asian website that clearly knocks off wild fox, topshop, urban outfitters, etc. But whatever its suuuuper cheap you just have to wait AGES for it to ship out. It is coming from somewhere in Asia after all. This shirt though is possibly one of the best shirts I own. It was like $7 and I just paired it with high waisted black shorts I thrifted a while ago. You can go on down to the very bottom and watch my video where I try on my latest thrift finds and show a lot of skin. Scandalous! But whatever we all have bodies, get over it. We are all just a bag of bones.

I always feel like somebody's watching me

This building is abandoned. There is even a "for sale" sign out front. So to my surprise mid way through taking pictures someone walked out of the building and looked at me. Didn't say anything. Just creepily looked and walked away. YEP. He was in there the whole time. Watching some weird girl take an embarrassing amount of photos of herself. I didn't care though, I kept going. If anything he was the one that wasn't supposed to be there because clearly he was a squatter. Im not bothered by people watching me take photos of myself. I know ill never see that person again, so it doesn't phase me. I use to be weird about it, but ever since I started talking to a camera for youtube I've become a lot more comfortable in front of a camera. Even if there are random people watching.

Murals

St. Pete has the best graffiti, or murals. Potato, tomato. So many buildings near downtown are just covered in amazing art. I had previously seen the cat mural the last time I was in St. pete but the skeleton one was new to me. Im always impressed when someone is talented in a creative way. Im a decent drawer but I can only draw things I see. I can't just picture something in my head and put it down onto paper. I don't have that imagination aspect to art. Which is fine. We can't all be Dali. If we were like him or any other creative artist, they wouldn't be special.

A completely thrifted outfit

If you look back on some of my older blog posts A LOT of them are babydoll dresses and combat boots. Not much has changed over the years. Im still wearing the 90s grunge style clothing because its super easy to find at thrift stores. Also I like the way mixing feminine dresses with masculine boots looks. I think it's good to neutralize a dress and make it more casual.

Everything I'm wearing here was thrifted.

Space boots

I am the worst when it comes to wearing wrinkled clothes. I blame the fact that I don't own a dyer (or washer) and can't just pop something in it to get the wrinkles out. I do own an iron but who has time for that? Not me. So I just walk around the earth looking like I rolled out of bed. Owell, at least I have on cool boots to distract from the wrinkles. My david bowie boots. Can you believe these are childrens shoes? Yes. I have tiny feet. But also why would a child need boots these funky?

Bangin

I've had bangs for 7 years! You wouldn't know it because I always pull them back or push them to the side. They are a lot of work and I am very much a person who hates having hair in their face. Im one of those people who pushes their hair behind their ears and I don't even realizing I'm doing it. I like bangs, I like the way they look. I just wish I was better at maintaining them and not getting annoyed every time I have to re-adjust them.

My sisters getting married

So my sister is getting married in 2018 and we had to book the venue today because its THAT popular. It really is a beautiful spot to get married at. I feel like I'm not fancy enough to belong there. But its not about me. Even though I did make my sister take my photo ahahah maybe its about me a little...But not when it comes to the wedding. Its a 1930s mansion so i did feel a little bit on theme with my 1940s style cat eye sunglasses and red lip.

Band tees

Band tees can be such a touchy subject with people. I know of people who will quiz you on the band you're representing. Im not that extreme. I assume if you're wearing a band tee, you like that music. I don't think you necessarily have to be the #1 fan of that band. I do think its very strange when people buy shirts with bands they have never even heard of. One guy shopping at my job said "Whats slayer? is that a new brand?" yes he said brand not band. He didn't realize what he was buying was music, not a designer. If you like a shirt and have no clue who they are then whatever! Wear that shirt you have no knowledge of. Who am I to make you feel bad for not knowing the band you're wearing. Clothes are meant to make you feel good and if you feel good in a certain shirt, wear it!

cemetery hangs

Do you ever want to take outfit photos but don't know where to do it because there are always people around? Then go to a cemetery. There are never people around... well there are but they're all buried under the earth. It's actually really peaceful and beautiful at cemeteries. Well at least around me. The gardens are always well kept and there are fountains and trees everywhere. Its like a beautiful park that just happens to be holding hundreds of dead bodies. Also there is a farm right behind this particular cemetery so you also get a chance to pet a horse. Which is always cool. Even though I'm terrified of horses its not so bad when theres a large fence between you two. Im not here to talk about horses, its about my outfit. Details will be at the end of the post!
